Measuring fall risk in patients hospitalized in palliative care services and factors affecting nutritional risk

Objective: The study was conducted to determine the fall risk of patients hospitalized in palliative care services state hospitals affiliated Bursa health directorate and differences between groups with without malnutrition risk. Method: sample study, which planned as a descriptive consisted consecutive (n=573) over 65 years age who were public Health Directorate first six months 2022. Itaki Fall Risk Scale (19 questions), will be used data, socio-demographic clinical data (13 event score (for aged 17 over), Nutritional collected using test. Statistical analysis obtained done frequency percentage, chi-square test SPSS for Windows 18.0 program. Results: number during time we worked 752. Of these, 573 people included our study. median group 65-100 is 80. 53.2% female, 46.8% male. 92% them had at least one chronic disease. three most common diseases HT, Alzheimer's Cerebrovascular Disease, respectively. A statistically significant difference observed scoring COPD, pressure ulcers nutritional risk, respectively.(p<0.001, p<0.001, p<0.001) Conclusion: Malnutrition, falls, bedsores can prevented early screened appropriate scales. In this way, it may possible prevent burden disease on caregiver, society, state.
